Performance Sound Chooses New EAW UX8800
Dual-Mode Digital Processing

Whitinsville, MA – November 26, 2007 - Performance Sound, a growing live sound reinforcement company based in the Chicago area (Mokena, Illinois), recently added EAW’s new UX8800 dual-mode digital signal processing with Gunness Focusing to its inventory, where it is being utilized in tandem with a lead sound reinforcement system that features EAW KF730 Series line arrays.

Founded and headed by Martin Bilecki, Performance Sound has been providing concert sound and full support for live concert performances, corporate events, fairs, festivals, and event promoters for more than 15 years. The company also provides backline, staging, and lighting services/systems, in addition to offering complete studio recording facilities and services.

Performance Sound is an early adopter of UX8800 digital processing, and has attained exceptional results since implementing it. “Gunness Focusing is amazing in making the mids and highs truly transparent and very smooth. At the same time, the dual-mode capability is invaluable in helping to meet all other system processing needs,” notes Bilecki.

“The benefit for every sound company, large or small, is that EAW is providing a tool providing that significantly upgrades audio performance without need of spending hundreds of thousands of dollars to attain this,” he adds. “I’d also like to point out that every mix engineer using our system has been completely impressed with the UX8800 processors and the KF730 system.”

Performance Sound is a member of ELAN (EAW Line Array Network), a valuable association network provided by the company that allows members to promote their inventories as well as secure additional EAW inventory when needed. The UX8800 processors and KF Series line arrays join a wide range of other EAW components utilized by the company, including KF650e full-range systems, LA400 subwoofers as well as SM222 and SM200 stage monitors.
