Moray McMillin Named UK Pro Audio Sales Manager
Loud Technologies has appointed industry veteran and FOH Engineer Moray McMillin to the position of UK Pro Audio sales manager. Moray will be looking after all UK-related sales for EAW and, along with Bob Harrison, EAW Commercial. The appointment follows Steve Badham's move EAW ASG (Application Support Group) in Europe, replacing James Bamlett who has gone to Kuala Lumpur to support EAW and LOUD Technologies in Asia.
In more than three decades of international touring, the last nine of which have been spent with Deep Purple, Moray has worked with the likes of Whitesnake, Black Sabbath, Ozzy Osbourne, Siouxsie and the Banshees, Public Image Ltd, and (just to prove that it's not all about the decibels) Suzanne Vega, among others.
"Moray's expertise in all things live sound is indisputable, and in particular, the experience he has accumulated with EAW systems. I feel that he will be a great benefit to the team," notes LOUD Technologies' Martin Warr.
Moray is also looking forward to his new role at LOUD. "Having made the decision to retire from touring (and especially tour buses) before they sent me home in a flight case, I am delighted to be working with EAW here in the UK," observes Moray. "It's a very natural progression for me, having spent many years touring with various different types of EAW systems, namely KF850, KF750 and most recently the KF760/761 line array.
"My goals are to try to maximise end-user awareness of the range of EAW products available in what I see as a very tight and competitive market," he continues, :and to provide our owner network in the UK with the best possible sales and technical support."
