Sydney, Australia-based system provider DJ Warehouse (DJW) recently completed an extensive project at the Sobar nightclub of the Cremorne Hotel, utilizing a wide range of EAW loudspeakers that highlight the exceptional depth of the EAW line. Located on Sydney’s Lower North shore, the hotel faced tough noise restrictions due to a high-rise apartment block directly on top of the planned nightclub. Some of the obstacles DJW confronted were structural vibration paths, thin ceilings and many escape routes for airborne vibrations. EAW loudspeakers chosen by DJW in overcoming these challenges include DSA250 (Digitally Steerable Arrays), KF730 compact line arrays and highly innovative CP621 concentric array ceiling loudspeakers.

Meanwhile, the majority of low-frequency energy is delivered by a custom-built concrete sub column containing six EAW SBX220 subwoofers. This unique design and configuration enabled the DJW tech team to tightly focus much of the sub signal onto the dance floor.
