Event Productions Expands With KF730, UX8800 Processing
Charlotte, NC-based production company Event Productions USA recently added EAW KF730 line arrays, EAW UX8800 digital signal processors, and eight EAW SB1000z subwoofers to its growing audio system inventory. (The photo at left shows Event Productions' new KF730 arrays.)
Founded and owned by Tom Durban, Event Productions USA has specialized in serving the production needs of the corporate AV marketplace, nationwide, for almost 15 years. Providing video and lighting systems with expert staff services has been the company’s primary focus until recently, when Durban responded to customer requests for professional audio systems and services.
The foundation of this effort is the new EAW KF730 small-format line arrays, UX8800 dual-mode digital processors and SB1000z dual-18-loaded subwoofers. “We selected the EAW components based upon numerous recommendations from experienced audio professionals,” Durban explains. “Our customers demand clean, highly intelligible sound quality, and from equipment meeting the stringent aesthetic requirements of all high-end corporate-industrial systems.
The 16 KF730 modules and eight SB1000z present additional value due to their scalability, with premium performance and coverage often able to be attained with fewer components. As a result, the loudspeaker inventory can be divided into two fully functional systems capable of serving multiple events. Further, the new audio inventory also serves as a lynchpin for Event Productions USA to expand into other AV markets.
The two UX8800 dual-mode digital processors further optimize the performance of the three-way KF730 line arrays, providing overall system processing in addition to specially customized Gunness Focusing alignment and driver processing algorithms that deliver the sonic quality of premium studio monitors from larger, horn-loaded systems.
“All of the sound reinforcement gear we’ve assembled share the same denominators - they’re premium components that exceed our clients’ sonic and visual wishes while being flexible, scalable and rock-solid reliable,” Durban notes. “The strategy has worked out exceedingly will, with all of our new components staying in constant use since we acquired them.”
