2008: EAW Marking Its 30th Anniversary

EAW 30 Logo FR.jpgThis year - 2008 - marks EAW's 30th anniversary. It's been a fun and certainly never boring ride, and one that continues apace.

Starting with a humble loudspeaker operation in Massachusetts in 1978, co-founders Kenton Forsythe and Ken Berger steadily built a global force in sound reinforcement.

Three decades later, Kenton "keeps on keepin' on" as the heart and soul of the EAW Engineering department, a group that has consistently turned out some of the most innovative technologies and product designs in professional audio - most recently exemplified by the NTL720 small self-powered line array, UX8800 digital processor, and many others. (Kenton's pictured at right.)

And the synergetic relationship with LOUD has contributed mightily to the development of products that expand EAW's reach, such as the recently released UMX.96 digital console.

We'll be presenting more of the history of EAW since its founding in 1978 as the year progresses, but in the meantime, start with these resources for a good overview of the EAW story: Who We Are, What We Do, Milestones, and Technologies.
