MicroWedges Shine at Sound Quest 2009
The Soundquest Exhibition was held in Hungary October 2 - 4 2009. EAW's Hungarian distributor, D.P. Music represented EAW with a live sound stage. Robert Fehrer of D.P. Music said of the show, "It was a hard week, but very successful!"
D.P. Music's stage was one of four stages in Hall C that hosted fully sound reinforced live performances. Guest performers included Emiliana Torrini, an Icelandic singer best known for performing "Gollum's Song", during the ending credits of Peter Jackson's film The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers ; the world-class jazz/blues harmonica performer, Matyas Pribojszki and SID, a front-liner band on the Hungarian music scene.
The stage was outfitted with a JFL Series rig made up of two JFL210 loudspeakers and two JFL118 component subwoofers. Two SB1000's and four JFX290's provided additional coverage on the stage. Four MicroWedge12's provided monitoring for the musicians. "The other stages were outfitted with larger systems but everyone was impressed by the output that the smaller EAW rig produced. Additionally, the performers were astounded with the powerful sound that the four MicroWedge12's on stage produced with no feedback," commented Robert.
