Back in the winter, we rehired long-time EAW service guru Steve Davis as a full-time EAW employee. As part of the longterm plan to consolidate and streamline this aspect of our business, we’ve opened a new section of the mill complex (Building 9) to house both service and finished goods warehousing. Including the service labs and offices and the shipping office, the new space comprises about 30,000 square feet.
The photo at top shows that the finished goods portion of the warehouse – about 20,000 sq. ft. – is filled with finished goods! Having finished goods here in Whitinsville should further enhance our ability to deliver rapid turnaround on orders.
The last part in the puzzle was to consolidate all EAW spare parts inventory into Building 9 as well. In late June, we started receiving truckloads of parts from warehouses in Seattle and the UK. The photo at bottom show some of the parts that have been unpacked onto shelving and inventoried.
To date, we’ve worked through about 25 pallets with a special focus on cone kits, diaphragms and transducers. That leaves about 45 pallets that we still need to work through.
We realize that this consolidation has delayed some parts orders, but the vast majority of parts orders are flowing normally. Please contact your dealer, rep or international distributor if you’re having an issue or email parts@eaw.com to contact the parts team at the factory.
