EAW's new JFX Series transforms the entire concept of what a compact, portable two-way loudspeaker can do. Using the "scale" of the JF Series as a guide, the new systems provide even more versatility with improved reliability and fidelity at very high output levels.
JFX Series systems feature a radical new enclosure shape that lets the same loudspeaker serve in many functions. These include uses such as main PA or "PA on a stick", stage monitor, front fill, and delayed fill.
Almost every transducer is a new design, and most of them were created in-house. As always, the internal, passive, crossover/filter networks use complex, asymmetrical crossover slopes and compensate for the physical offset between the two sections, delivering passive operation that sounds bi-amplified.
With powerful tools and a mandate to optimize total system
performance, EAW engineers set out to re-invent the compact,
portable two-way. For the first time in company history, they
embarked on a range of brand new transducer designs.
