The JFX Series enclosures feature EAW's trademark over-built construction using void-free, Baltic birch plywood. Advanced adhesives and extensive internal bracing make the enclosures rigid and durable in the face of daily abuse. Handles are placed to keep the load balanced for easy lifting.
Even the grille received special attention. Using heavy-duty 16-gauge steel, engineers developed a custom perforation that would maximize acoustical transparency without sacrificing strength.
All rigging components feature a similar over-built design with the pull tests to prove it. The JFX560, for example, at 81 lbs should survive a pull test of at least 810 lbs for a 10:1 safety factor. In fact, it survives a pull test of 3570 lbs for a safety factor of 44:1.
Users can order optional brackets to mount JFX Series systems to walls or ceilings, and special hardware kits to create horizontal arrays. All JFX Series enclosures feature threaded mounting points configured for an appropriate Omnimount® or similar device. A single, balance-optimized fly track top and bottom lets users hang different-sized JFX systems from each other with just a pair of fly clips.
