Traditionally, crossover/filter networks include substantial equalization filters that correct problems in driver response. While they certainly improve overall system performance, they also introduce subtle phase anomalies that degrade clarity. With optimized linear drivers developed for the JFX Series, the internal passive crossover/filter networks required virtually no equalization filters, improving outstanding phase coherency.
JFX Series internal filter networks simply focus on the crossover transition, using complex, asymmetrical slopes Close Coupled to the drivers they serve. Passive filtering also compensates for the physical off set between the sections for idealized clarity in passive powering mode. In fact, systems with switchable powering deliver the same outstanding fidelity in full range passive mode as they do when bi-amplified using the latest generation external digital processors.
