The no-compromise design of the MQ models means the mid and high frequency horns are truly large enough to provide optimal pattern control throughout each passband. In addition, companion the LF loudspeakers provide beamwidths similar to the MF/HF loudspeakers in the crossover range. The MF/HF loudspeakers can either be used with their LF complements, as the mid/high element for full-range audio systems, or used without their LF complements, for voice-only applications. Internal passive crossovers with jumpers on the input panel allow user selection of either bi-amplified or passive operation. In either case digital signal processing is required to achieve specified performance.
In the MF/HF loudspeakers, the MF subsystem uses EAW's patented Radial Phase Plug technology for time-coherent midrange reproduction. Neodymium HF compression drivers with 2 in exits provide powerful HF projection. LF models feature optimal enclosure tuning for bass extension and powerful LF drivers for high output.
