The MQM Series adapts the original MQ Series approach
for use in somewhat smaller enclosures. While this smaller
size means horn flares are no longer strictly optimal,
enclosure dimensions are significantly reduced without
sacrificing overall performance. The MQM Series comprises
matched sets of mid/high and low frequency enclosures
with complementary dimensions. This facilitates creating
attractive arrays that provide high definition sound with
tightly defined beamwidths.
MQM MF/HF modules use a specially designed 10 in MF cone
with EAW's patented Radial
Phase Plug™ and a 2 in exit Neodymium HF compression
driver. Internal passive crossovers with jumpers on the
input panel allow user selection of either bi-amplified
or passive operation. In either case digital signal processing
is required to achieve specified performance.
