The MQV Series combines
MQ Series LF/MF/HF components into full-range, single-enclosure
loudspeakers. They are horizontally configured for arraying
in vertical columns. This arrangement is typically used
in sports arenas and other venues where the array must
address wide, vertical audience angles.
The MQV1300s use single LF and MF components while the
MQV2300s use double LF and MF components for higher output.
Several beamwidths are available for different acoustical
situations. The mid frequency subsystems use a specially
designed 10 in MF cone with EAW's patented
Radial Phase Plug. The high frequency subsystems
employ a 2 in exit Neodymium HF compression driver. Internal
passive crossovers with jumpers on the input panel allow
user selection of either bi-amplified or passive operation.
In either case digital signal processing is required to
achieve specified performance.
