Despite the fact that many large venues present a hostile acoustical environment, virtually all require a high output, high definition audio system. In cavernous arenas and mammoth stadiums, popular music is reproduced at concert levels to supplement the on-field action and contribute to the “home field advantage.” To work effectively in these highly reverberant spaces, loudspeakers must provide high output levels to reach listeners sometimes hundreds of feet away, as well as tightly controlled directivity to minimize unwanted reflections. In hundreds of the largest venues around the world, the solution is EAW large format array systems. To provide the output and directivity required for large-scale audio installations, EAW engineers have created a variety of array-oriented loudspeaker systems that load custom-designed high output drivers on large format horns. Long a hallmark of EAW engineering, these mid and high frequency horns feature complex curves that maintain consistent directivity throughout their passbands. For additional low frequency control, EAW offers many LF systems that use cone drivers properly spaced to significantly reduce off-axis radiation. This improves LF efficiency while reducing LF “build-up” in the reverbant field.
 KF850 Series loudspeakers are the world touring standard, accepted in more technical riders than any other loudspeaker. The “z” version updates the classic products using the latest in EAW transducer technology. New drivers and EAW’s patented MF Radial Phase Plug™ combine to noticeably improve the temporal response of the KF850z, resulting in a sweeter-sounding system with even greater impact than before. The KF850zF includes 19-position fly track, while the KF850zR omits the fly track for applications where flown loudspeakers are not required. The SB850zR is a portable subwoofer which shares the footprint of the full range systems. Each are ideal as a main reinforcement system for outdoor festivals, theatres, clubs, side fill / drum fill monitoring, and as a side fill element in KF760 systems.   The KF760 Series is comprised of the KF760 long-throw module and the KF761 near-field module. Both loudspeakers use advanced divergence shading to provide uniform sound coverage from directly beneath the array out to hundreds of feet without complex signal processing. Vertical coverage for the array is set by varying the rear splay of the enclosures, leaving the fronts tight-packed. This configuration produces a continuous, coherent wavefront from the array, projecting extended range, high-resolution sound over its full coverage area. This high-output touring system is scalable from venues under 1,000 seats to stadiums.  The KF750 Series 3-way concert touring loudspeakers are remarkably powerful and compact. Their Acoustic Singularity™ design aligns the three sub-systems along a single axis so that they act as a true point source. This greatly reduces temporal smearing of transient events and improves overall clarity and impact. The KF750F works with the KF755F downfill module to provide full range nearfield coverage below the array. Enclosures feature eight 4-position fly tracks. The KF750 Series is designed to create arrays with optimized coverage in both the horizontal and vertical planes to cover audiences ranging from 300 to over 30,000 people. |
