EAW Manufacturing Technology

Proprietary   Non Proprietary   Engineering   Manufacturing

EAW Manufacturing
EAW houses a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility that marries handcrafted precision to the latest CAD/CAM technology. We employ automated processes wherever advantageous - but sometimes only traditional, labor intensive methods are the only option for meeting our high product standards.

To ensure EAW products deliver maximum value to our customers, our manufacturing team has eliminated wasted effort and resources through just-in-time manufacturing. We manage the production cycle - from material acquisition to final assembly - as a continuous process, moving finished cabinets to the assembly line as technicians deliver the crossovers. Through our integrated design and manufacturing processes, EAW offers the industry's most aggressive build-to-order (BTO) program for custom variations, large orders and rushed jobs.

Woodshop
Having an onsite woodshop helps facilitate speedy product development. The EAW woodshop is equipped with computer-numeric-controlled (CNC) saws and routers. In addition to quickening the manufacturing process, the precision and consistency of the enclosure components are increased.

Paint Facilities
When EAW receives unfinished cabinets from the woodshop, they are inspected for voids and given a surface coating at our paint facilities. Our use of water-based paint as the standard enclosure coating provides superior durability while substantially reduces the impact on the environment. In addition to being environment friendly, the setup and cleanup time is significantly reduced with non-toxic paints.

Crossovers
To create loudspeaker systems that sound "flat out of the box," EAW invests considerable time and effort in both the design and manufacture of our complex asymmetrical passive crossover filter networks. Ensuring that our passive filters can handle the largest output requirements, only the highest quality components, materials and workmanship are administered into the circuitry. In addition, each and every circuit must pass a rigorous power-handling test. Such a rigorous process ensures the absence of distortion and long-term thermal capacity of our crossover filter networks.

Assembly
Final assembly of the cabinets and affiliated components occurs in our large assembly area. EAW technicians assemble the systems, put them through a final quality check and package them for timely shipping.
