KF Series

Usable, compact power

The KF Series (comprising the 300, 700 and new 800 range) is a premium family of pointsource and linesource loudspeakers boasting a very high output to size/weight ratio. The series features exceptional pattern control due to symmetrical design, large horn and spaced woofers. Superior performance in a very easy-to-work-with package.

Designed for an extremely wide range of touring and installed applications, the KF Series delivers a scalable solution for corporate A/V events, small-to-medium-sized live sound reinforcement, performing arts venues, houses-of-worship, retail spaces, ballrooms, theaters, theme parks and more.

The vertical directivity of every arrayed system conforms to the curvature of the array while the symmetrical design of every module provides absolute uniformity over the horizontal coverage area and spectacular imaging when used in stereo. The addition of EAW Focusing processing provides the hallmark level of clarity and detail for which EAW systems are known.

DynO

Dynamic Optimization actively tracks input spectrum and power delivery, continually maximizing output and fidelity at any drive level.

SYMMETRY OF SOURCES

Symmetrical arrangement of acoustic sources along a common axis for utmost consistency throughout the coverage pattern.

CONCENTRIC SUMMATION ARRAY (CSA)

A method of seamlessly integrating MF and HF components within a single horn. With CSA, multiple subsystems sum coherently, without interruption to either HF or MF wavefronts.

PHASE ALIGNED LF

Tuned spacing of LF components to extend pattern control without the need for enormous horns.

FOCUSING

Use of advanced digital signal processing to perfect impulse response of a loudspeaker in the time domain. Eliminating horn “honk” and splashiness, the loudspeaker sounds more like a studio monitor than a “PA” speaker.

Detailed technology

Pattern Control: Consistent broadband pattern control is critical for a professional speaker system. Inconsistent pattern control inhibits the creation of functional arrays and limits the ability of a loudspeaker to properly cover a given audience area. The KF Series utilizes the entire width of the enclosure to space the woofers as far apart as possible. This allows the speaker to maintain pattern control at a lower frequency and maintain this discipline throughout the entire operating range.

Symmetry: One aspect of line array systems is that they are often hung as single columns, one on each side of the performing space. As such, horizontal symmetry is critical. In the KF Series the spacing between individual pass-bands is kept to a minimum. Additionally, a passive low pass filter drives the side-firing woofers. The design is completely symmetric, creating identical sound reproduction on both sides of the speaker/array. The result: A clear symmetry is easy to achieve.

Output: The KF Series takes advantage of some of the latest developments in transducer technology to deliver a big punch. The dual 8-inch mid frequency transducers, for example, are driven by massive 75 mm voice coils. In addition, the large, sealed aluminum chassis provides additional thermal dissipation. The result is higher efficiency at a lower weight.

Software tools

Every EAW product series works seamlessly with our array of software applications designed to make installation easier and sound optimisation a more exact science.

EAW Resolution 2.7™, for example, is a powerful and easy-to-use simulation software that accurately predicts the performance of multiple arrays within a venue. Driven by EAW’s proprietary Resolution acoustics modeling software, Resolution is more accurate and powerful than previous generations of software by utilizing measured 3D acoustic data.

Output levels are displayed by varying color using a variety of methods, including 1/3-octave and broadband SPL, A and C weighted. The actual frequency response at any point in a venue can also be viewed. User-defined environmental conditions, specifically temperature and humidity, are factored into these calculations.
